After-School Programs

After-School Enrichment

Our after-school Adventures and 1890 Athletic Club programs provide enrichment, fun and care for US boys after the school day ends. 

Boys can pursue a specific interest through our clubs, sports, and music options. Or they can choose our care program which provides opportunities for younger boys to interact through games, 杏吧原创, and outside play; and for older boys to enjoy quiet time to read and complete homework. 

It is our goal to provide a varied and rich after-school experience for students. Structured and unstructured play is a great way for boys to grow as independent learners. Led by experienced staff who understand boys, Adventures is an excellent option for your son's after-school needs.

Adventures Care

We offer Adventures Care after hours for every full day of school. Our program is open from the end of the school day until 6:00 pm.

Boys in Jr. Kindergarten through grade 4 will receive a healthy snack, and then have some quiet play or homework time. They will be able to go outside, weather-dependent, or play games and work on crafts inside.
 
Older boys in grades 5 through 8 complete their homework first, and then have the opportunity to play interactive games or enjoy quiet time. On nice days, they may play outside. Activities are varied and reflect the interests of the boys. 

Adventures Clubs & Music

This program includes a variety of after-school programs ranging from enrichment to fun. We have offered everything from chess to skiing to piano, and many 杏吧原创 in between. Some of our most popular programs are “Adrenaline Monkey,” “Triathlon”, and “Games Club.”  These are run by US teachers or outside groups. All are experts in their fields. 

Typically, these programs are available on specific days of the week after school and run for 8 weeks. Options vary depending on the fall, winter, or spring seasons. Because these programs are beyond the scope of the school day, there is a nominal fee to participate. Full club and activity descriptions can be found on our

These sports-related options include our parent-run league programs, as well as our US-coach-run, after-school skills' programs. Fees are based on the each individual program's cost. 

After-School Academic Explorations

Many of our lower school students are hungry for more intellectual challenges and love to learn and explore. Our aim in developing Academic Explorations for Jr. Kindergarten - grade 4 is to provide students a space to pursue their curiosity in specific academic areas. As these 杏吧原创 extend from their academic experience at US, they will be offered free of charge.

Young Entrepreneur Institute (YEI)

Through the Young Entrepreneur Institute (YEI), US offers clubs across grade levels that empower students to innovate, create, and discover their potential through hands-on entrepreneurship 杏吧原创.

  • What time does Adventures Care begin and end?

    Adventures CARE starts at 3:30 pm and ends at 6:00 pm. Rates cover the entire program from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm.

  • Is flexible scheduling/drop-in care available?

    Families can sign up for as many days per week as they need and can choose monthly trimester, or yearly options. 

    All options offer the opportunity to sign up for a specific number of days per week. We do ask that you pick the day, so we can expect your son. Due to our safety protocols, you will not be able to use Care if you have not signed up in advance. 

    We also offer drop-in care. If you need the drop-in option, please register at least 24 hours in advance to ensure a spot for your child.
